Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Pitchside, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
Pitchside is only for users aged 18 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you misrepresent your age to create or keep an account, Pitchside is not responsible for any resulting consequences, and your account will be permanently removed as soon as this is discovered, without prior notice.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under it. Provide accurate information during registration. You may not share your account with others.
4. Sports Covered
Pitchside supports cricket, badminton, football, and pickleball. You choose which sport(s) you play when you set up your account, and can add or remove sports at any time from your profile. Features may differ by sport — for example, cricket includes detailed ball-by-ball scoring, while badminton, football, and pickleball use simpler match results (final score and winner).
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) post false, misleading, or harmful content, including in uploaded videos/highlights; (b) harass or abuse other users; (c) attempt to access systems you are not authorised to access; (d) use the platform for unauthorised commercial purposes; (e) impersonate any person or entity; (f) upload content you do not have the rights to share.
6. Match Data & Scores
Match data entered by you (scores, results, statistics) remains your responsibility for accuracy. Pitchside provides scoring and results tools and is not liable for incorrect data entered by users. Tournament organisers are responsible for the accuracy of their match records, and admins may adjust a player's displayed career statistics where corrections are needed (for example, to reflect history from before joining Pitchside).
7. Player Marketplace & Payments
Pitchside's Player Marketplace connects organisers looking for players with players looking for matches, across all supported sports. Pitchside is a facilitator only — it does not process, hold, or have any visibility into payments made between organisers and players. All contributions are paid directly from player to organiser via UPI, entirely outside the Pitchside platform. Pitchside is not a party to these transactions and is not liable for non-payment, incorrect payment, refund disputes, no-shows, or any disagreement arising from a marketplace listing. Organisers are responsible for verifying payment before confirming a player's slot. Players are responsible for verifying match details before paying. Use the Report function for any suspected fraudulent listing.
7a. Live Player Auctions
Tournament organisers may run a live player auction, in which team captains bid a virtual budget (set by the organiser, not real currency) to build their squad. Auction results — who was bought, by which team, and for how much virtual budget — are a game mechanic for organising the tournament and do not involve real payments between users. Organisers and admins are responsible for the accuracy of auction settings (budgets, squad sizes, timers) and may adjust or correct them where needed.
8. Highlights, Reels & Uploaded Video
Pitchside lets players and organisers upload short highlight videos ('reels'). By uploading a video, you confirm you have the right to share it and grant Pitchside a licence to host, display, and distribute it within the platform. Organisers/admins are responsible for the accuracy of player names and details tagged on uploaded highlights. Uploaded content that violates these Terms may be removed, and repeat violations may result in account suspension.
9. Sponsored Content & Advertisements
Pitchside may show sponsored video advertisements from third-party businesses ('sponsors') before highlight videos, clearly labelled as an ad. Any offers, coupon codes, discounts, or promotional claims shown in sponsored content are provided by the sponsor, not Pitchside — Pitchside does not guarantee the validity, availability, or terms of any sponsor offer, and is not a party to any transaction between you and a sponsor. Tapping a link or button within a sponsored ad takes you to a destination controlled by that sponsor, outside Pitchside's platform and these Terms.
10. Push Notifications
With your permission, Pitchside can send push notifications for things like booking confirmations, match updates, and tournament announcements. Notifications are entirely opt-in — you choose whether to enable them, and can turn them off at any time from your profile or your browser/device settings. Turning notifications off does not affect any other part of the app.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code in Pitchside is owned by Pitchside. You retain ownership of content you create (scores, profiles, uploaded videos) but grant Pitchside a licence to display and use it within the platform.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.
13. Disclaimer
Pitchside is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
14. Limitation of Liability
Pitchside is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including from marketplace transactions or sponsored content.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as Pitchside adds new features. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
16. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact us through the Feedback section in the app.
